Here Comes the Sun
Here comes the sun….
There’s no denying that the Aspen real estate market is one of the most expensive and competitive markets in the world. Prices per square foot for single family homes and apartments or condos rival the best neighborhoods in New York City, London and Hong Kong. And there is no denying that our quality of life is far better. Aspen’s international cultural attractions in the arts back up to the heart of the Elk Mountains and a remote wilderness worthy of a lifetime of exploration. Modernization in the work environment and working remotely, coupled with the proliferation of a balanced work/life existence, has made Aspen even more of a popular place to buy real estate. While prices have grown incredibly in the past five to ten years, we have also seen our ‘off-seasons’ diminish so much so that it’s hard to really call them off-seasons anymore. Aspen is a year-round town like never before.
If you are looking at buying in Aspen it is easy to get discouraged and think that the timing is not right or you may never have missed your opportunity to buy within your budget or needs of your family. When the ‘trailer park’ properties are listed above $1M and land purchases average above $10M it is easy to give up and start thinking about somewhere else. But that’s where I come in.
I have always prided myself with the skill to see opportunity where others do not. There are still great options to invest in Aspen and the surrounding areas. I don’t care if you are looking to buy a one bedroom or you have a strict budget, I am confident that I can find you something that will satisfy your desires.
It just takes a little bit of imagination, some understanding of the nuance of each segment of the market, and really tuning in to the genesis of that desire you once had to be in Aspen. Call me today and let’s discuss your Aspen real estate goals and create a plan to make them a reality in 2024.
