Please Don’t React

We’re already a month into 2024, so how are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions?  Is it me or did January just fly by?  As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I’m planning on 2024 being my year so I have been busy taking the little actions and daily steps that will undoubtedly deliver results.  I decided that I am not going to wait around for fate to deliver and I’m not going to react to things as they unfold.  I am going to blaze the trail, exactly as I see it and want it; so watch out.

You are welcome to join me, too.  In the past year or so there has been a lot of talk in the real estate industry, especially with potential buyers, that seems to revolve around this ‘wait and see what happens’ concept.  And I get it, the world is full of unknowns and interest rates were much higher than they were a year ago.  International conflict, another pending US presidential election on the horizon, the FED talking about what they might do and the media reporting the 10,000 different ways that it could actually play out, all breeds doubt and hesitation.  In our modern world with countless inputs there’s just too much to process.

So this is the year to push back on the trends, ignore the chatter about what could or might happen and go make it happen.  Sure, we need to pay attention to some big-ticket items and make informed decisions but I’m talking about not the getting lost in the analysis paralysis.

I do think that the fed will reduce rates this year, likely starting in Q2, and that will have a big impact on the real estate market everywhere.  In Aspen, where inventory remains limited but the demand and desire for Aspen is unwavering, we will likely see a frenzy of activity as the rates come down.  This coupled with limited inventory will further fortify prices up and down the Roaring Fork Valley.

So, you, and everyone else that has been actively patient and waiting to see if prices will drop, waiting to time the market perfectly, will not be alone reentering the market.  If you want to make things happen, call me today.  Let’s outline your goals, the boxes we need to check, and get to work on making it happen rather than waiting for things to be ‘perfect.’

Call me today and let’s find your Aspen dream home.
